Looking for luxurious accommodation in central Atlantic Canada? Consider staying at Maplehurst Manor in Dorchester, New Brunswick. We offer you the most comfortable and lavish bed and breakfast experience possible.
Built in 1858, this completely restored home was built by one of the Fathers of Confederation, Edward Baron Chandler. Enjoy the elegant ensuites and large comfortable bedrooms featuring restored fireplaces and a mix of period furnishings and décor. The bedding and pillows are all luxurious linens and made for comfort. The private sitting areas in your room can also be used for an in-room meal.
The formal dining room, which is intimate enough for two and large enough for twelve, is where our signature candle lite breakfasts are served. Served on fine china with silver wear, our multi-course hot gourmet breakfasts are prepared with locally grown ingredients, including fresh farm eggs.
The meals and treats are prepared in our professional-style kitchen. It has a nice blend of full-size commercial appliances that can handle the needs of a large group of people for a full multicourse meal.
The manor is also home to freshly baked cookies and treats that guests can enjoy. They go great with an espresso, cappuccino, or latte produced by our European coffee shop-styled machine.

Century. It has been completely redone with all of the modern conveniences and is a shoe piece! Marisca and Jeff are outstanding hosts, greeting us with home made cookies, chocolates and whatever we would like for our coffee:tea. We stayed three nights in a he Keillor Suite with top of the line bedding, a spectacular large bathroom offering marble floors, claw foot tub and large rainfall shower. The gourmet candle lit breakfast offerings were amazing along with Marisca’s delicious biscuits!! Upon our departure, Marisca sent us off with cookies, muffins and pens. Marisca has seen to every possible detail to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. I give Maplehurst Manor 10 stars!! Mariska was so friendly and accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable. Our gourmet breakfasts were delicious. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The historic home is tastefully decorated in a lovely rural setting. We’ll be back!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Terry Graham2023-07-27Loved this place! Quiet, completely renovated, beautifully decorated room and ensuite. Lots of places to sit and relax on the property, including a roof top deck. We were greeted with homemade cookies, chocolates in our room and Rosie (their puppy). I was traveling with my sister so we used both the bed and the pull out couch, and on arrival the couch was all ready for us with comfy linens and lots of pillows and was very comfortable. The bathroom was also amazing, a clawfoot tub, with all the amenities for a relaxing bath and a separate shower. No air conditioning, but it was not necessary, even on a 30 degree day the room cooled right down with 4 very large windows in our suite. By far the best B&B I’ve ever stayed at, super great hosts! I would highly recommend staying here if your in the area.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.alice2023-07-20What a lovely stay and great hosts! 5 stars plus! Our room was enormous, beautifully decorated, with a luxurious bathroom (claw foot tub and separate shower), big windows, fireplace...we were greeted with fresh homemade cookies, and in the morning, the breakfast was gourmet and scrumptious. Marisca was even nice enough to explain how to make it! Location is great if you are visiting Mt. Allison University, and really if you have any reason to be in that area, it's worth a stay! Highly Recommend!!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Amy Dobry2023-07-14We loved our stay here. The whole place was beautifully refurbished. Our room and bathroom were luxurious. The breakfast was fantastic. The hosts wonderful. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. It was on our way as we were traveling through the area. In a remote location. No good restaurants nearby, so be sure to eat dinner before you arrive.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Kim Smith2023-07-12Wonderful rooms with all the features of a grand hotel in the comfort of a bed and breakfast. We stopped here for a night on a long road trip and it was idyllic. The location was great for travelling, off the main transcanada highway, but worth the short detour for sure. Many personal touches and small details thought of. Bed was super comfortable. The bathroom had a huge bathtub with supplies for a hot bath. No A/C but our room (on the 3rd floor) was the perfect temperature even though it had been a very hot day, so don’t let that deter you. Quiet setting, we could not hear anyone in other rooms. Marisca was very welcoming, friendly. We loved Rosie, a 15 week old Aussie-doodle. Breakfast was AMAZING. Best B&B I have ever stayed at!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Lorraine S2023-06-29A nicely renovated heritage home with beautiful decor.
