Book a luxury suite in the Maplehurst Manor in Dorchester, New Brunswick, and enjoy the ultimate comfort. Guests have described this one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast as having “the warmth and comfort of my grandmother’s house, combined with a subtle elegance.”
The manor has a front porch and a grand entrance to an original and elegant three-story walnut staircase, 10-foot ceilings, ornate plaster medallions, and moldings. These lead to the luxurious living room, which measures 30′ x 15′. It is furnished with period furniture and décor that invite you to enjoy the restored slate and natural gas fireplace
If you wish to have a relaxing time, you can go to one of two quiet coffee nooks for some solitude. The house’s features include a large bay window overlooking our sister home, “Swisscot.”
The formal dining room, which is intimate enough for two and large enough for twelve, is where our candle lite breakfasts are served. Our multi-course hot gourmet breakfasts are prepared with locally grown ingredients, including fresh farm eggs. The manor is also home to freshly baked cookies and desserts that guests can enjoy. They go great with an espresso, cappuccino, or latte produced by our European coffee shop-styled machine.
The quartz countertops, farmhouse sink, and the warmth of custom cabinetry create a wonderful combination of vintage elegance and modern functionality. Further connections to the house’s history can also be found in the kitchen. There are two sets of stairs to the servant’s quarters, a couple of quaint pantries, and an exposed brick section of the chimney that comes off the original bread oven used to warm the kitchen in the winter.
