The first of our largest suites are the “Chandler Suite,” named after the builder of the home Edward Baron Chandler and one of the Fathers of Confederation. This second-floor suite has an elegant functioning original slate, natural gas fireplace, and a large bay window sitting area. This overlooks our sister house, “Swisscot,” and rows of beautiful sugar maples.
The furnishings are a mix of period furniture and modern comforts. The ensuite bathroom has been described as a sanctuary. A very spacious room with an elegant period-appropriate double sink vanity, a generous glass, and ceramic walled walk-in shower, with multiple body massage jets, and a rainfall showerhead. This is complemented by a guest’s favorite clawfoot soaker tub with vintage styling and faucets to top off the experience. A nice additional feature is an intimate dressing room with a chandelier and makeup table to prepare for those special occasions, always a bride’s favorite. These features are all surrounded by beautiful ornate Italian ceramic tile that includes a heated floor for your comfort.
For your added convenience, the room also has its own fridge with complimentary bottled water and a coffee/tea station with a wide variety of choices.
